We stand out for the quality of our internationally certified products. “Qualicoat” for aluminium lacquering, “QualiSteelCoat” for steel/iron lacquering and mechanical pickling, and “NF 252” for polyamide crimping, i.e. thermally-cracked aluminium.
We recently obtained the DAP – Environmental Product Declaration, to comply with the European Union Regulation 305/2011, that is, all the legislation in force in the environmental area.
Our mission is to provide lacquering services for aluminium profiles used in the construction of buildings (doors and windows); lacquering of steel (railings, fire pipes, etc.), according to a process of mechanical stripping, degreasing and painting; and polyamide crimping, i.e. aluminium with thermal break.

1993
The limited liability company GODILAC – Lacagem de Alumínios, Lda. is incorporated, starting its activity with a small production line dedicated exclusively to the lacquering of aluminium surfaces. It is located in the market as a service provider.
2000
Extension of the industrial plant. Renovation of the surface treatment of the existing production line and assembly of a new production line with greater production capacity. Acquisition of an automatic machine for profile packaging.
2001
Montagem de laboratório para controlo de qualidade e contratação de quadro técnico com o objetivo não só de melhorar a qualidade do produto acabado mas também de melhorar todo o processo e de cumprir na íntegra a legislação em vigor.
2003
Replacement of the hexavalent chromium process (toxic product) with an alternative process free of toxic agents. Certification by the QUALICOAT quality mark. It was the first plant in the country to achieve this quality mark with a chromium-free process.
2007
Purchase of a machine for plate lamination.
2008
Obtaining an Environmental Licence.
2009
Installation of a chemical bath for treating steel surfaces.
Expansion of the industrial plant through the construction of a new hall.
2010
Acquisition of a polyamide profile crimping machine, with automatic tool change that allows the type of profile to be crimped to be changed in just 10 seconds. It is also equipped with a profile plasticising machine and polyamide laser marking equipment.
Also in 2010, it was inspected by the General Inspection of Environment and Spatial Planning, and no legal nonconformity was found.
2011
Setting up a nanotechnological process for treating steel surfaces. It was the first company in the country in the sector (excluding the automotive industry) to implement this process.
2012
Change of company name to GODILAC II, S.A., due to the expectations of the evolution of its business on a global scale.
Obtains the QUALISTEELCOAT quality mark licence, licence no. E-800, being the first company in the world with this type of licence for crude steel.
2022
Implementation of the new lacquering line, increasing the production capacity of lacquering aluminium or iron profiles up to 9.20m, 600kg in weight and 70cm in width, opening up even more offer to our customers.

Lacquering
Lacquering of aluminium profiles used in building construction (doors and windows).
Lacquering of steel, such as railings and fire mains, following a process of mechanical pickling (where necessary), degreasing and painting.

Crimping
Polyamide crimping, i.e. aluminium with thermal break. This thermally broken aluminium allows double frames to be applied to buildings for thermal and acoustic insulation, improving their energy efficiency.

Plasticising of profiles and sheets
The profile packaging line has an automatic loader of the product to be packaged, to then wrap it in plastic film and also an automatic unloader of the product already packaged for its storage and/or means of transport.
